Ayurveda means “The Science of Life” and stands as one of the oldest holistic healing methods. Developed in India, it uses a whole-being approach of the mind, body, and soul recognizing that each person is different; therefore no wellness plan is the same. It’s a journey of self-exploration and meeting your true essence on a much deeper, compassionate level.
We begin by determining your constitution, which is your unique, natural state derived from birth. This will indicate what recommendations are best for your physical, mental, and emotional chemical makeup. Over time we become imbalanced due to factors such as stress, food, seasons, trauma, and relationships. Together, you will develop a wellness plan to bring yourself back into harmony with your natural self and best health. This includes recommendations on self-care routines, improving digestion and absorption, diet, herbs, the nervous system, lifestyle, breathwork, and detoxing. As well as, identifying patterns through self-awareness and reconnecting to your natural rhythms.
Karla McDermott is an Ayurvedic Health Counselor. Complimentary to Ayurveda, I am certified in the Perceptive Awareness Technique and Pranic Healing. Pranic Healing, or energy healing, accelerates the body’s own ability to heal. Through P.A.T. I have developed the intuitive skills to detect emotional, mental, and physical issues and the best way to lovingly relieve them. I look forward to joining you in your journey of healing and self-discovery.
