What is Colon Hydrotherapy?
Colon Hydrotherapy is a method of removing waste from the large intestines, without the use of drugs. By introducing filtered water into the colon the waste is softened and loosened, resulting in evacuation through natural peristalsis. This process is repeated a few times during a session.
Cleansing the colon is an integral part of most detoxification programs and can be achieved by the use of Colon Hydrotherapy, (or simply “colonics”.) Your colon, together with your kidneys, lungs and skin are responsible for eliminating waste from the body. But over time, your colon may lose its ability to properly eliminate all waste from the gastrointestinal tract. Colonics are a method for cleansing the body of toxins (any harmful substances) which the colon is not able to discharge by natural peristalsis (muscular contraction.)
While not a cure for any disease or aliment, it maybe considered an important additional therapy to help rejuvenate and maintain your overall health.
Our Method...
Natural Health Associates uses the “Libbe”, state-of-the-art, gravity-fed colonic machine.
A soothing flow of warm water is instilled gently into the colon through a pencil thin, disposable, rectal tube.
The system is designed to allow evacuation of the lower colon during the administration of the colonic irrigation. The pressure, temperature and flow of water are all regulated throughout the session.
This system is considered the most beneficial, as it uses the body’s own muscles to provide a more natural release.
It is a very gentle and safe procedure that takes about 45 minutes.
